My latest patent filing is on work during my time as one of the first hands-on scientists at ImmuMetrix. Prior to developing diagnostics of the immune system, I advanced novel drug delivery platforms for biopharmaceuticals with teams at ALZA Corporation and Centocor R&D (Johnson & Johnson). During my tenure at J&J I drove intra-company collaborations in delivery of biologics such as mimetobodies (modified antibodies). I studied vacuolar protein trafficking with Dan Klionsky for my Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology (University of California, Davis). In Madeline Shea’s lab I discovered my love for laboratory science and earned a B.S. with honors in biochemistry from The University of Iowa.
